about

A folk/rock song that asks the question, does anyone know how to fix old radios? A question that haunts our times and implies that there may be more lost than sound with the loss of widespread traditional radio play. With a gentle build up of sound, the gentle question begins and builds to a harmonic crescendo with acoustic guitar and piano layers, and the sad desperation of a vocal plea.

lyrics

Does anyone know how to fix old radios
I can’t get the melody coming out like before
My chords are busted and my notes are all lost
Does anyone know how to fix old radios

Does anyone know how to mend old broken hearts
Beaten by a lifetime of coming up short
Still keeps a beat but it’s been hard fought
Does anyone know how to mend old broken hearts

There’s an old radio playing somewhere tonight
Singing to someone who’s had a hard time
Like a beautiful memory chased with vintage wine
Does anyone know how to fix old radios, old radios

Does anyone know how to keep the chill out at night
When the dark is so close it’s creeping inside
I keep looking for cracks and for peeking of light
Does anyone know how to fix old radios
